Live tweets nearly every day give ideas and visual encouragement to explore LA by Foot
There are very few that would imagine a walk through LA could yield photos, or an experience for that matter, like what you see below. There’s an underground subculture of “walkers” that organize and execute special walks to defy the axiom: Nobody Walks in LA.
Further they seek to prove that LA has not only more than freeways, traffic and, well, ghettos, but incredible local landmarks, private and public that make for a healthy trek with plenty of entertaining visual stimulation along the way.

Today’s route (above) was Little Santa Anita Canyon which can be followed in detail on the posted google route in the final tweet.

If you know the best routes (which are also shown below and on other virtual tours organized by @sweetslinky on Twitter, a.k.a. WalkingLA) they always seem to have a bunch of these mysterious walk-able “sonic-hallways” that appear more like what you’d see in a fantasy than in, of all places, Los Angeles.

Cats lounging in driveways and sneaking around to investigate walkers are not uncommon. Often owners and friends are around to divulge cat monikers.

This, is an example of the incredible, almost unbelievable and yet, common sight – wild, free animals living amongst the stars of Hollywood.

Paramout Studios, nearly unchanged since the Golden Age of Tinsel Town, is just another amazing sight along a typical LA thoroughfare…
