Massive Shiba Inu (SHIB) Surge Intensifies Interest in Meme Coins: Here are the Top Ten

These are the biggest of the meme genre according to CoinMarketCap data

• Suddenly it’s the meme coins stealing the thunder as Shiba Inu leads the way while Bitcoin fades
• Meme coins are like brands and represent a culture and a cohesive theme or movement
• Shiba Inu has skyrocketing, even as a resurgence in SafeMoon and others is also in process

Known to some as the “Doge-Killer” due to the shared mascot dog, and it’s 2nd to the party status, Shiba Inu, which launched in August 2020, is now the #1 meme token and the 8th largest cryptocurrency overall.

New holders also surged in the last few days and there were even those that attributed the recent pullback in BitCoin to the cute dogs sudden, massive popularity.

Though Down from its all time high of 0.00008683 which it hit on October 28th, it is “still” at 0.00006281 as of this writing.

As is so often the case with crypto and especially low priced meme coins a lot of articles touted the “woulda, shoulda, coulda” perspective and in this case it produced some of the most incredible hypothetical dream-case-scenarios yet (the numbers reflect the price traded around the all-time-high of the last couple of days):

• if you had invested $2 into the coin in January, you would have close to $2 million today.
  
• Someone bought $3,400 worth of SHIB last August. It’s now worth $1.55 billion
  
• A SHIB hodler who spent $3,400 on the memecoin last August is now a crypto billionaire, with the asset gaining 94,278,239.8% over the past year.
  

Although these math games are fun (and profitable for those that were there “early”) the overall interest in this area of crypto is currently surging, perhaps one of these will be the next Shiba Inu?:
